These well-known neutral baskets are handmade in the Binga district in Zimbabwe and are made from dried Ilala Palm leaves. They are similar to the Hwange plates but are woven slightly differently. They are popular as wall art pieces. They are available in brown and cream patterns (with a light or dark rim), plain cream (with a textured pattern) or plain brown (with a textured pattern). No two baskets are the same and the pictures are merely for reference. Please select your preferred motif type and a design as close to your preference as possible will be supplied. Motifs are usually a flower-like, zig zag, diamond or ring-like pattern.
